Introduction Print Machineries

In the past there were short-run laser or toner based printers, and full offset machines for big runs. By approaching the issue in a different way, Riso has developed Digital Printer technology that bridges the gap between these two extremes.
At the heart of the Riso Digital Printer, is a Digital Duplication System - a technology perfectly suited to delivering high volume print runs.
When an original is given to the machine (either through the integrated scanner or the computer/network interface), it makes a digital map of the original and recreates a template. This template (referred to as a Master), is produced from a very thin sheet of specially developed acetate material. The master is then transferred to an internal ink drum which is rotated at very high speeds whilst paper is passed underneath. Speeds of 130 pages per minute are achieved using this technology, with incredibly low cost per copy over long runs. Owing to its simplicity, this is a very reliable single pass print system.
It uses relatively little energy and is highly resistant to any of the paper jams which blight traditional toner based systems. The use of Riso's Soy Ink means that printing can be much more environmentally friendly; and because we support this system with so many different coloured inks, Digital Printers have many more applications than traditional printing technologies.

COMCOLOR TM

Most manufacturers today focus on the ultimate quality of colour images as the main goal of any new printer or copier. However, at Riso, we have tried to approach the issue from an alternative direction.
Recent Gartner Group surveys have shown that while colour quality is important, increasing the speed of output and reducing the running costs is often the priority.
ComColorTM has been developed to address precisely this need, offering incredibly fast and highly economical output, which allows monochrome users to move into full-colour for the first time.
ComColorTM images are of a perfect quality for everyday business use - a new way to bring all the benefits of colour to your life without the traditional colour penalties.

FORCEJET TM

Riso has developed a new high speed full colour printing engine based on in-jet technology. We call this technology FORCEJET TM, reflecting the fact that the engine is able to print at incredibly high speeds in full colour (120 pages per minute A4 in full colour).
The heart of the system lies in the line ink-jet system which enables the multiple fixed print heads to dispensing ink onto the paper in a single pass of the paper. This offers unrivalled speed, whilst remaining true to the traditional Riso strengths of low cost and high reliability. The Piezzo technology allows the very efficient and reliable dispensing of ink directly onto the paper, whilst maintaining accurate colour reproduction and minimising waste.
The FORCEJET TM engine can be found in our latest full-colour printers. Contact your local sales consultant for details.
